In connection with the award of the doctoral study grant, primary consideration will be given to the degree of independence in analysis and design exhibited by applicants in their earlier work, their methodological and scientific maturity, and the capacity for problem formulation and stringency exhibited in the applicants’ earlier work and in their doctoral research proposal.
