The Faculty of Applied Economic Sciences is seeking to fill the following full-time vacancy in the Department of Economics: Doctoral student in the area of Economic Policy

 

Job description

·         You prepare a PhD thesis in the field of Economic Policy;

·         You contribute to teaching and research in the Department of Economics.

Profile and requirements

·         You hold a master’s degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Socio-economics or equivalent, or you will obtain your degree before the end of September;

·         You have obtained outstanding academic results;

·         The focus in your teaching corresponds to the educational vision of the University of Antwerp;

·         Your academic qualities comply with the requirements stipulated in the university’s policy ( http://www.ua.ac.be/research );

·         You are quality-oriented, conscientious, creative and cooperative.

We offer

·         A doctoral scholarship for a period of two years, with the possibility of renewal for a further two-year period after positive evaluation;

·         The start date of scholarship will be 1 October 2013;

·         A dynamic and stimulating work environment.

·         You submit a research proposal (in English) of max. 1,000 words in which you explain your preferred PhD research topic;
